More than just your local vet clinic
When you bring your pet to the vet, good veterinary care is about more than diagnosing and treating an illness. It is also about how your pet feels while they are in our care, and how comfortable you feel with the people looking after them.
At Animalia Vet Clinic, we are fortunate to have a long-standing nursing team who know many of our clients and their pets personally. Combined with our Fear Free approach and facilities, this helps us provide care that is both professional and personal.
1. A team who knows your pet
Many of our nurses have been part of the Animalia team for years. They have watched puppies grow into older dogs, welcomed new kittens into families and supported clients through both routine care and more difficult times.
They get to know the individual personalities of our patients and often remember the little things that make each pet unique.
2. A Fear Free approach
We understand that visiting the vet can be stressful for some pets. Our team uses Fear Free principles to help reduce anxiety and make visits as positive as possible.
We take the time to read each patient's behaviour and adjust our approach where we can. Sometimes that means taking things slowly, using treats and positive reinforcement, or simply giving a nervous patient extra time to settle.
3. Separate spaces for cats and dogs
We have separate cat and dog wards to help reduce the sights, sounds and smells that can make some patients anxious. Our cat ward provides a quieter environment for feline patients, while our dog ward allows us to care for canine patients in a space suited to their needs.
4. An 18-cat cattery cared for by our team
Animalia is also home to an 18-cat cattery, which is cared for by our experienced team.
Having the cattery on site means our team can get to know each cat during their stay and provide care that considers their individual routines, personalities and needs.
5. Looking after their people too
We know that when your pet is frightened or unwell, it can be worrying for you too. Our team takes the time to listen, explain what is happening and answer your questions.
For us, the personal touch is about knowing our clients, knowing their pets and being there for them throughout their lives.
Because good veterinary care is not just about what we do. It is about how we make you and your pet feel while we do it.
